In and around Cambridge there is a great variety of things to do and see when you’re
not studying!
The historic university colleges are situated at the heart
of the city and are well worth a visit. There are many different
guided tours that you can join, or you can explore by yourself.
In the summer, why not hire out a punt (flat-bottomed boat) and
float down the river to experience the famous "Backs" (college
gardens)?
If you prefer shopping, Cambridge city centre
boasts a huge variety of stores - as well as a large outdoor
market for that special gift.
For the sporting enthusiast there are several prestige golf
courses within a five mile radius of the city as well as
easy access to Premier League Football and Rugby matches.
In the evening, dine out in one of Cambridge's many varied
restaurants - and why not visit the theatre or cinema to
try out your newly acquired language skills?
London is only an hour away by train so you can easily organise
a day shopping on Oxford Street or an evening in the famous
West End. Alternatively, explore the beautiful English countryside
around Cambridge.
