  frequently asked questions

Q: How good do I have to be at English to take a course?

A: We cater for all levels and standards of professional and business English.

We will assess your standard prior to your arrival and find out about your particular requirements - for instance, whether you want to prepare for an interview or a business presentation or need some specific vocabulary relevant to your business sector.

We will then prepare an individual programme of tuition and discuss it in detail with you at the beginning of the course.

Q: Do you do offer coaching for English Language exams?

A: We are not an exam centre and do not run courses for specific qualifications but we can help if you are studying for a special exam and need some extra tuition!

Please let us know what exam you are studying for and we can design a course to meet your specific requirements.

Q: Do you do courses for groups?

A: Yes - we are very experienced at teaching small groups although most of our students prefer one-to-one tuition.

If you would like to study in Cambridge, we can build a package to suit your group - with accommodation and leisure options included.

Alternatively, we can provide on-site training at your place of work. Recently we have run highly successful courses in Austria and Thailand.

Please contact us with an outline of your requirements and we will respond directly with options and pricing.

Q: What accommodation options do I have?

A: We provide a range of accommodation options for you to choose from.

From our links with Cambridge University, we are able to arrange accomodation in several University Colleges. Please contact us for details as availability can depend on term times.

Alternatively, we can arrange accommodation in one of Cambridge's many hotels - ranging from five-star luxury to budget. Just let us know your requirements and we will find the right place for you.

Q: How do I get to Cambridge?

A: Cambridge is 30 minutes from Stansted airport which is served by a number of European airlines including Easyjet and Ryanair. Bus and rail links from Gatwick and Heathrow airports are excellent. We can arrange taxis to meet you at airports if you prefer.

Once in Cambridge, transport links are excellent. A fast train service takes you to central London in less than an hour. Trains also connect with all major UK cities. We can arrange car hire if that is more convenient.

Q: Do I need a Visa?

A: Please contact your local British Consulate or Embassy for further information.

Q: How do I book a course? What are the terms and conditions?

A: Please see the booking information on the terms and conditions page.
